This is a great shot, it received an 8 from me. I love the light and the darkness to it, for me there seems to be a sadness or depression in the look. Great work. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: A very interesting image which gets better and better the longer you look at it - give it long enough and it becomes rather special indeed. The tones, textures, grain and focus are all deployed to perfection. This is photographic mastery.
Critical stuff: Nothing (of course)
Overall: Dying to know who shot this - utterly accomplished; it makes me feel a little embarrassed about my work which is pedestrian by comparison. |
