Some of the NOAA websites have photo galleries to which people contribute interesting pictures of atmospheric phenomena. Here's a link to the Portland office, where I submitted a couple of pictures I'd taken up there.

You should put that up as a print. Then submit it to some other sites with a link-back to the print page ... Despite my somewhat flippant remarks in the associated thread, this is a great capture -- go ahead and "finish" it.

WOW! that's awesome! i think it would have done well in the extraordinary challenge and it really does look like something that would hide an alien invasion. very cool!

it really does look as though the cloud is hovering over the landscape waiting.............. extraordinary! The original was excellent, this is even better :D

why does the cloud look like it's houvering few metres from the ground? The cloud looks obese and lost 8-) I have never seen anything like that 8-) :-0
