They have to be talented to even attempt making the sculpture..
A simple snowman isn't easy to make..

It looks sort of like the figure at the top of a "snowdem pole". Exposure must be a little tricky to get right so that the sculpture shows good texture without being overexposed.
I would want to try this shot at night, using a tripod and shooting it from behind with a flash with a colored gel on it, and/or light painting it using a flash light and gels.
