| Nice shallow depth of field on this and great colors. This is very pleasing to look at, almost soothing despite the thorns. I would have thought this would easily have finished higher. |

Commenting as part of my Team Suck duties...
I have to say that I cannot even begin to comprehend how this image didn't finish MUCH higher. Great colour, composition, detail, use of shallow DOF (I love the bokeh) ... all excellent. Perhaps a tad soft at the end of the branch, but no way deserving of the punishment it got from voters. I think your title describes your treatment from the voters... "Ouch" indeed. :( |

| Good use of DOF; the spikes on the branch add a lot of interest to the image as well. |
