This is such an impressive image. I can't imagine how you managed to line everything up so perfectly. The colors are excellent. I'm glad I came looking through the first Technology challenge. |

I thought that this photo deserved first place in this dpchallenge. It was attention getting, and it gave me a warm feeling with all that yellow. Good Job! |

Thank you all for your comments. Yes I did stand out in the street to get this photo. A train came by every 8 minutes so I had to wait each time I took a photo. I waited on the sidewalk and when the crossing signal sounded I had plenty time to get out to the middle of the street. I had a 6" tripod attached to my camera. The first several photos didn't even have a train in the picture it was going by so fast. Finally got a few with trains in them. Wish the train itself in this photo was either more or less blurry, but I'm really pleased with the results. |

Great composition, very nice gestalt, especially the yellow reflectors leading up to the train, implying movement. |

The colors are fantastic. Great level shot. Like how you got down and focused along the yellow raised up markers. It's that little extra that makes the difference between a good picture and a great one. Good job. Focus a little off on the train but not enought to really hurt. Your eyes see the crispness of the markers. Great job well done. PTL. Worth a 9 anytime. |

Very Good. Nice Depth. With the amount of light you had, you could of sped up the shutter for real stop action. Extra point for meeting the challenge and This is a good shot but better with faster stop action shutter. |

Colors are great! I like the slight blur on the train because it gives it motion. |

A good take on the topic with a perfect, cloudless sky to frame it! I'm not sure about depending so much on the traffic reflectors in the foreground -- it almost detracts from the subject. But the perspective is excellent, and reminds one of train tracks trailing off over the horizon. Great composition overall. |

wonderful picture, though i think it might have looked better if you used a focusing point somewhere in the middle of the picture, allowing the closest objects to be slightly out of focus, but then what do i know. Excellent |

slower shutter speed to blur the train would've been better |

The repetition of the red/orange bits and other abstract qualities work really well. Niggles : too much sky at the top? have more of the car, or less? Either way, it's one of my favourite this week. |

pretty cool, great DOF. But, the train is a bit blurred, think it would be improved by showing some more blur to show that the train is rushing by. |

Great low POV and strong colours and lines. I know it's probably moving but I'd prefer the train to be sharper. 7, Kavey |
