Me and Isaiah Zagar go back a ways. Before I joined the site and with my first digital cameras I shot nothing but murals and became familiar with his work. I met him one day when he was working on a piece that encompassed the back of someone's house. We talked a bit and later I went down the street and met his wife at her gallery.
It was very interesting to actually find out what was going on with the Zagars at the time I met them. I found out about it by seeing the documentary about the Zagars by their son, Jeremiah, called 'In a Dream'. More information can be found out about Zagar's work by visiting this site. And if you would like to see the trailer to the documentary and maybe order the DVD, you can visit here.
Not in the movie, that I recall, is how some residents in the area, mainly around his studio and garden, think of his work. Many think that's just trash and others, like me, are fascinated by it. Would I own a house with a mosaic on it or get one done if there was not one on it. Well maybe. If I could afford it, I might. Course, I can't even afford the house let alone the artwork.
I am not sure how this will go. There is architecture and part of the image includes Isaiah's studio on the left. It just maybe too arty for architecture. But I'm sure you'll let me know. I hope we can agree that it is, at least, bizarre. thx.

Is Zagar a close relative of Oscar the Grouch? |

You found some very Bizarre architecture alright, it is very interesting but to me it's just way too busy and lacks any clear focal point. I think it may have helped to get a closer shot but then people would not have seen it as architecture. I am giving it a 6 because it really fits the challenge well but lacks some in overall appeal. |

This is a difficult photo too score.
Yes, it is certainly bizarre
And yes, it is the clutteredness of it that makes it bizarre.
BUT it is SO cluttered that it makes my eyes hurt. |
