 The caecum is located at the entrance to the large intestine where it adjoins the small intestine. There is a distance of nearly 5 feet of intestine between caecum and anus. This is a picture of wet flowering kale ;-)

Nice macro which impersonates the first part of the large intestine (at least I suppose you meant this and not the species Caecum glabrum, which has a tube form).
But this doesn't take away the fact that I wonder what I'm looking at exactly.

Caecum (Blind) AKA the pouch connecting the ileum with the ascending colon of the large intestine seperated by the ileocecal valve. Unique title and a unique photograph as well.

after looking it up ... for once a title that actually goes the OTHER way!! usually we get some windy title that is a definition, not a title, (in this case) for those of us that failed anatomy. my guess is you will lose pts for 1. title obtuse; 2. abstracts die here. gl
