harsh light in the background makes the picture really hard to look at but at the same time adds to the affect that they might not be real but concrete sculptures. |

I don't think I've ever looked down the mouth of a pellican before, and I don't think I want to again. Definitly different. The washed out sky looks a little strange. |

There are some stunning leading lines in this photo. It reads easily from left to right, high to low/ The top pelican points to the greedy one (love his shirt collar). the pattern of scallops on the roof repeats in the sape of the wings. the building lines contrast with the organic forms and feathers. the mouth is perfectly positioned to be the central focus. I think I would have increased the contrast and saturated the inside of the mouth. |

Extraordinary! Your pelican is great - but the sky did not help you. Even with the bald white sky - it's an excellent submission though. |

The photo seems so close to b&w that you should either make it b&w or try to have some more color in it. Great capture of the two birds though. |
