 I'll probably get hammered by people who have no appreciation for how difficult minerals are to photograph.

Not that I care much, I love to photograph minerals.

you definitely have the 3 elements but it's not the most engaging picture in the bunch..sorry

I think this would have looked better on a clean white table and background, lit in a way that made the crystals glow more to show off the vibrant colors. Here the colors seem a bit muted.

While there are three subjects with equal visual importance, the photo is not very interesting to me.

Good idea, but could have used brighter lighting. Subjects like this are just waiting to show off their brilliance and colors.
