 This shot is of my daughter just after she had just woken up in our hotel in Tokyo. She has her comforter on her head that gave me a rare opportunity to take her photo willingly.

Greetings from the Critique Club

What a charming child you have photographed here. Oh, yes, and welcome to DPC. You selected a lovely image to send in your first Challenge.

It scored quite well, especially for a first timer, so congratulations on that! The Critique Club is here to try to give constructive suggestions on 'how to make an image better' so I have just one suggestion. That is to crop your picture of this sweet child even closer. Crop out from the top and from the left side, to remove the security comforter and you still have an appealing picture. try it and see what you think.

Other than that, you have a fine image of a fine subject and I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future,

What's with the blanket on/over her head? If she's playing around and wearing it to be funny, then I think backing off a little bit and showing us more of that would have been good. The way it's composed, it appears to be just in the way. I feel like I'm missing something.
