 I didn't think I was going to enter the challenge, but after seeing this shot and the presence of the nictating membrane, I though it fit the challenge rather nicely. I don't expect to do very well... probably will get a lot of "challenge not met" comments.

the title is meant ironicly i suppose, i can hardly name an animal more ugly than this one :). But it's a nice picture of an extraordinarily ugly bird.
