 I created this scene on my coffee table. Spread out some purple sand (from my wedding) and groomed it with a fork (which was surprisingly calming). Found a small smooth rock from a recent trip to California.

Lighting is done via 4 candles. This is actually was took the longest, getting the shadows just right via placement of those candles.

Between the camera and lens was a 12mm extension tube.

Slight post processing included cropping, adjust white balance (for candles), sharpening, and adjusting colors to be a bit warmer. This is why the sand looks more burgundy than purple.

I can see where you are coming from for this but the colors just don't work for me.
