Once again, the Critique Club strikes first and best. This shot was a little too title dependant, even for me. Still, I gave it a 7. I thought there were quite a few good aspects and very few bad ones. Without the title, I think my interest level for this would have been less. |

...from Critique Club...
FIRST IMPRESSION: It's a couple of guys at a construction site...nothing interesting.
COMPOSITION: I agree with what most people told you on the comments: composition could be better. The fact that you cut off the left guy's arm really makes the shot weaker. What bugs me the most is that the two men aren't on the same 'ground' level, and it seems like the guy on the right wants to shake 'invisible man's hand because it seems that he is behind the guy on the left. Maybe it's my eyes...who knows. But I do think that a wider angle could improve this shot.
TECHNICAL: The lighting is pretty natural and works nicely. Focus is good, although the bulldozer seems a bit soft.
ARTISTIC: Only after reading the title could I start to put a story behind the shot. I, like many others, am not familiar with MOB and construction relationships. So this shot doesn't mean much to me. I can appreciate your effort though.
OVERALL: I think that if there was more emotion from the mobster, and the angle was wider, it would make it a fairer photo.
SIDE NOTE: If that happens to BE a mobster, and YOU are related...then please ignore my comments...perfect photo! :) |

You cut off the Mob boss' shoulder. Good shot. Tells a story. |

Title seems a little hard on these guys. I would also consider the photo more successful if I could gain some insight on what they are working on. This is a little more candid "guys at work". I am voting largely quality this week and taking the challenge largely for granted. 5 nards656 |

This is a perfect picture for one of those "Add the caption" contest. "Honest Boss, I buried him right there in that chunk of concrete. Where'd he go?" |

LOL fun-fun shot. Clean, clear, crisp, good light, color and on topic. Not crazy for the crop but that's just my taste. WELL WELL done. Justine. |

hehehe... Original idea :) The Don's arm was cropped off, but otherwise technically well done. I assume you tried this in BW and decided this was better? If not, maybe take a look at it without the colors... It looks classic for a BW shot... Good thing you didn't get the mobsters face or you'd be sleepin' wit da fishes :) ~ Myqyl ~ |

HAHAHA... this one really made me laugh... love the title.. too bad you can't see the "Mob bosses" face. I'm giving this an 8 for good creativity, and a clear crisp and eye catching photo. |
