Not too sure what you were trying to accomplish here, but looks like you failed. The image is too out of focus, the 'flame' is too centered at the top. |

Very pretty, nice colours. |

Very mysterious, at several different levels...What is it? Why the general blur ? What is the possible connection with photojournalism? |

No focus. Too busy. No real distinguishable subject. Doesn't tell me where it's going. Doesn't make me want to read about it. Sorry PTL.3 But that's just my opinion. |

I fail to see how this meets the challenge. I don't think I would ever see something like that in a newspaper or magazine or any kind of publication. The orange section shows a lot of pixelation and there are a number of overexposed spots as well as very narrow depth of field resulting in mostly blurred foreground. |

I think you were much too close to the subject for your camera to focus on anything. I'm also not sure how it fits the challenge. |

Nice pictuer of a picture. Next time try to get the dust off. Or is you scanner dirty? |

way too distorted... and doesn't really meet the challenege, especially the part about capturing the impact of a moment ~anachronite |

Looks over exposed at top-center, out of focus most everywhere else. Also not sure what would be news worthy.

I cannot imagine what paper or magazine you thought you were shooting for, but it doesn't work for me. Jak 2 |

Composition ~ I can't find a subject to this shot... Exposure ~ Lower right lost in underexposure, upper middle lost in overexposure... Focus ~ N/A... Challenge ~ I can't find any relevence... Opinion ~ I'd be interested in knowing what you were trying to shoot here... It just looks like out of focus glass rocks with a too bright light behind them. ~ Myqyl ~ |

The composition and colors of this look like it would make a very interesting picture, but the lack of focus (whether deliberate or not) really detract from the overall effectiveness I think. I like the bright light in the middle, and the relative darkness elsewhere. Also, there seems to be a lot of noise and it looks like you shot it through a screen. Maybe oversharpened? karmat |

Sorry I can't see this featured in any newspaper or magazine. |

Sorry, but this shot is blurry and doesn't really say 'photojournalism' to me. Better score than I would have given though because I like polished rocks! |

I think you need a better camera. This is out of focus, grainy, and where's the photojournalism? |

If this was in focus it'd be an interesting picture, but it still wouldn't meet the challenge. |

I have absolutely no idea what this is, what its trying to portray and I'm very certain that this will not show up on the front of any paper. My best guess is that it's jellybeans. It's way way out of focus, the highlights on top are blown out, badly. I don't know what else to say. - Inspzil |

this shot is out of focus and there appears to be a screen or something in front of the photo... the criss-cross patterns look very odd here... - setzler |
