I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: An unusual portrait, benefiting from great softness, colour handling and contrast profiling. Her expression is excellent and her eye contact makes the image.
Critical stuff: If I am honest, the man behind detracts from what would have been a great portrait - he appears disengaged and as a viewer I feel alienated as a result. The lettering on his T-Shirt is highly problematical - it upsets the consistency of the blocks of colour that help communicate the subtlety of the image.
Overall: Nearly great. |

There's a dark moody feel to this - which may be what you intended. I wish it wasn't quite so soft, focus-wise. Good luck. |

I love the soft focus and low colours. Lovely. 7. |
