I am very proud of that score, especially with a black and white photo. To be fair, the site itself did most of the job, it is an incredible place. Also, a special thank to my DPL team for processing advices!

A classic shot, from the second most visited spot of France (the first one being Paris). I live 3 hours away from it, so I thought it would be a good idea to get there for this challenge. For those wondering, the vignetting effect was accomplished using optical gradient filters, not added in post-processing, in order to comply with basic editing rules.

The Mont Saint-Michel is located on the country's west coast, in Normandie. It was actually a tidal island: the Mont Saint-Michel was previously connected to the mainland via a thin natural land bridge, which before modernization was covered at high tide and revealed at low tide. Nowadays, topographic adjustments have been made, and the thin road is always available.

The village and its abbey were constructed in the eighth century AD.

The Mont-Saint-Michel and its bay were added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1979.

I went there in the Summer and loved it (I was also there as a kid but couldn't really remember it)

It was really busy, but it was definitely worth paying to go up to the top and watch the tide come in, which happened quite quickly!

Oh, and great shot as well, I think this conjures up the tranquility of the place, when away from the crowds of tourists that is...

Such a magnificent image. The processing is genius. This reminds me of Debussy's La cathédrale engloutie (The Sunken Cathedral). The story told through the music is from a Breton legend about a cathedral on the mythical island of Ys. On certain mornings, the cathedral will rise from the waters and you can hear the priests chanting and the bells tolling. For me, your image evokes that mythical atmosphere.

Wonderful! I love the negative space on the right. I wish we could have larger sizes for landscape orientation. I bet this would be much more spectacular at around 1400 pixels!

The water is so still that it takes my breath away. The composition is excellent - I imagine you spent quite some time waiting for the perfect lighting - your focus is impeccable. I imagine this photo will do very well.

I have always wanted to go here. What amazingly still water. The lines and reflection are super, but the lighting on the island seems a little flat.
