I REALLY like this shot that I'm entering. I can't say that I don't care what the score is on this one as I have a special emotional attachment and memories to this shot. It was shot leaing off of a bridge that is soon being taken down. The bridge is part of the old/former Kodak lands. Kodak has now been shut down and all that's left is one historical building that is now boarded up and vandalized. Kodak was the place that I worked during the summers to pay my way through University and held a lot of memories of working with other students from all over. One was lucky to get a job there at all. My grandmother upkept her family by working there as well. This is likely one of few last shots that I'll be allowed to get from the area. It's so sad to see being torn down.
I love the angle this is on as it points right into the more urbanized skyline of the area and is, in fact, the road into the city. :) I hope that you all like it too and get the feeling of where I was standing to take this shot (including climbing a barrier, illegally trespassing may I say). I think it tells a story, voyeur style. I feel like I'm watching from a vantage point, unnotices, watching the world go by in this shot. I also feel as though the city is a mountain to climb to get to it but, I'm on par with it as I watch from a vantage point above the road and look into the distance at the city skyline and entrance. Enjoy it! :)

This is doing MISERABLY with barely staying at a 4.5. Not at all what I expected and not sure why I should be shocked at the lowness of this score. I'm sure that someone with a tree and a hill will score above this and that will be disappointing.
Post Challenge: Well, 12% range. Sad because there were other shots that were simply the silhouette of the top of a hill or some plants against a sky that did better. I thought this one told a story even without the title. *SIGH*
Anyone who wants to tell me that I sound "bitter" LOL...don't. I am bitter about this one! ;) |

I like how the road really pulls you through the picture. |

for ME...this seems to be more "street photography" than Urban Scape...just my opinion |
