This is a tribute of Joey Laurence's work. You can find the original in www.joeyl.com.

It's not easy to get the right positions especially this is a self portrait. But the hardest part is to make the background totally dark with long exposure. So I went to the moutain near my home at night. It's kind of spooky shooting in a dark moutain and there is a small waterfall behind me about 3 meters away that I might fall into accidently. The result is not as good as my imagination(especially comparing to Joey's photo). The light ratio between the back light and the front light is not good. The light on face in not bright enough, so I spent some time adjusting the curve in Photoshop to brighten the face and darken the back light a little bit. The second thing I am not satisfied is there are no sweat and blood splashing in the air. But I was too exhausted to reshoot. :P Beside this photo, I tried different postures, but I found that Joey had found the best posture. He is surely a genius. Anyway, it's a fun experience.
