What was your deciding factor in choosing to go to black and white? The image seems to be lacking a lot of the middle tones, and as such isn't very appealing. |

nice capture...a bit more contrast would make this clearer....lower angle would have eliminated the socket on the wall which is distracting |

I am from England, we have no guns and I am amazed that you can get your hands on this variety of weapons, I just hope that you are a policeman!
I think a bit more cropping off the top and bottom of the shot would be good as its just empty space. Also the flash is a little bright on the foreground objects and a little dark at the back, as its shot in B/W a more evn light ie: overhead light could have been used without fear of colour cast. Ah.. those are some stupid-looking knives. This is really picture that fits the challenge. |

The composition of this shot, with all of "lines" of the barrels and blades creates a strong sense of power and movement. I think cropping out the thing on the left and angling the shot so that the outlet wasn't showing would have made this shot more powerful. Also, the colors to me seem drab. Can you work with the contrast any to try and give it a bit more "pop?" karmat |

This is a good shot for this challenge. My only suggestion would be a different angle -- either lower in the front to block out the outlet, or from higher above so you get more of a feeling of looking down at the array of weapons. That knife on the left looks positively Klingon-esque. Eek! muckpond |

Sorry but where's the drugs? This looks like more like an undercover consfication of a gun runner. It's a good photo but I would be very disappointed if with this photo I didn't read about a load of gun runners, and it was just drugs, as the title says. Title and picture differ. Good, fine photo but you loose points. PTL6 I apologize, I missed the two bags of drugs, duh right in front. The guns at the top caught my eyes as the photo started to unfold and I saw more and more gouns and just missed the drugs. I see them now and here's a 8 for a really clear, clean, technically sound photo. Guess I'll have to read the article to see how much drugs were taken. |

Would have been better if you had got close to the items on the table. |

Composition: Subject Placement, Cropping, Background7, Technical: Focus, Exposure, Lighting, Processing5, Appeal: Is it Interesting, Motivating, Etc.? 5, Total Averaged Rating6. Autool IMO the relationship between the title and picture are key elements in this challenge. Where are your evidence tags?

I think it needs a bit more light and cropped more tightly so that nothing but the weapons are in the picture. |

I had no idea that during a drug bust they also displayed firearms that were found. Very interesting. Good choice of black and white! Wish you could read what the two white papers said, but interesting shot, though not front page worthy, very newspaper worthy! - Talya |
