 Photographed at dusk before an 11-12 year boys' Little League baseball game in suburban Philadelphia. I wanted to show their equipment neatly arranged and ready to go for the GAMES TO BEGIN . I wanted to blur the fence in front and some of the helmets in front so the eye is drawn into the image. I desaturated the greens and yellows, saturated the reds and blues to emphasize the helmets. Finally, I used UNSHARP MASK to sharpen the details, added a border and sized the image.

This wasn't one of my favs. I agree, it is a weak image.

I like the subject. The green lines across the grass seem unnatural and draw my attention away from the helmets. I think without the foreground fence, this would have been a stronger image.

I would have liked to see some part of the image in sharper focus, my eye isn't really drawn anywhere in particular. i like the line the helmets create.

Shooting through the links is fine, but I think your point of focus is off.

blurry... and what's the mass of color in the middle - an upside down helmet?
