 seeing i didnt want to state the obvious for a change i left arachnid out'v the title .. figured everyone would know that a spider was an arachnid ..
it was a difficult shot to get as the spider was very small & spinning the web so he didnt stop moving ..
i did the tight crop so that all it's details were clearly visible ..
i cant get over inside it's 'mouth' .. there's like a plug there .. also the way the web is coming out'v its rear end (which is called a spinneret) and mouth? .. (not sure if its actually a mouth) .. about spiders

another shot of the same spider .. i couldnt decide which one to put in the challenge .. went with other ppl's suggestions altho i was leaning towards this one ..

...the scientific classification of a "Spider" which many people will not guess within the first 5 seconds of looking at this photo... and some wont even get.

Nice detail, colour and lighting - but not sure about the photo as a whole - the close crop, composition and POV dont seem to work for me.
