This was taken on my cousin's farm on her 50th birthday. As part of the party, she set off some fireworks and (deliberately) burned down a derelict old barn on the property. I was able to take a number of dramatic shots over the course of the evening.

Post-processing was fairly simple and carried out entirely within Aperture 3:
- RAW processing
- Straighten
- Crop
- Highlight recovery
- Black point adjustment
- Contrast and Definition adjustment
- Curves
- Edge sharpen
- Slight burn brushed at right edge of picture

A lot of drama here. I like the sparks coming off the building - it gives it a bit of extra flare. :)

Very dramatic and the big black in the front is a little distracting but overall a great pic. 6
