You shot this at f/25 for a Bokeh challenge? You would have placed MUCH higher if you had dropped your aperture to that len's largest of f/3.5 (or f5.6 if you were zoomed in to take this shot). That would have caused the background to be much more out of focus and made your subject stand out much more. The focus is nice, but the image is too dark, at least it is on my monitor. Have a look at the histogram and see where the bell curve falls, if it's too far to the left, then the image is too dark.

Unfortunately, I don't think this portrays good bokeh, the background is too visible and distracting. What I might suggest is getting lower so you are more even with the flower, instead of looking down upon it. |

Seems a bit underexposed, not a ton of blur in the bkg. Next time, if you can separate the subject from the background with a little more distance, you'll get more blur even if your camera doesn't have a huge aperture. i.e. Pick the flower and move it. Good luck! |
