Since it was requested, I'll give some info on how I did this, though it's really pretty easy. The photos are suspended using very lightweight fishing line. I would have done more, but it was breezy and infuriating and took lots more time than I had planned. The line showed up a bit in some places, but was mostly invisible, so I cloned it out where needed. There's a flash in my bag triggered using CLS, in addition to another camera left in a reflect umbrella, approx. 20 degrees from head on to me. Set the timer, hurried over and got into position, snapped photo. Used my fuji as a prop.
Lots of things that I know now that I would do differently. Flash in bag was way too low and not dispersed so it didn't get the effect I wanted.
Editing was pretty light. Sharpen details, change some color saturation and whatnot, clone out minor lines, fix a reflection in a couple of the photos, some dodging on the bag and a couple other slight areas. Easier in idea than you'd think, harder in the details though. Thanks for the comments and glad it was enjoyed. |

That's pretty cool. Are the photos on some plexiglass? And if so, how do the flash not bounce off it. I look forward to seeing how it was done. |
