"Critique Club"
This is a gerat concert shot.
COMPOSITION- I think the composition for a concert shot like this is right on. You've captured him clearly in focus and the lighting on him is great. I just wish that the white lights in the shot were some funky color but you didn't have much control about that. I think it would have looked a little neater too with less of a crop to get his whole guitar in the shot, well just the long part of it, I don't know what that's called. I like where your cut off the bottom.
BACKGROUND- There isn't anything distracting in it. I like the faint outline of those bars in it. It fits with this shot. I just wish again that the lights weren't white.
CAMERA WORK- You've used a great aperature with this shot. There is a slight blur to his hand and that could have been fixed with a little faster shutter speed. (See my opinion down below) Everything is steady and straight.
DIGITAL PROCESSING- You've done a great job in compressing this. I don't see any of the "jaggies" or anything like that. The only thing I'm not sure about is his shirt. It looks kinda flashy wavy or something. I don't know if it's natural or the digital did that.
MY OPINION- I think this shot is an awesome concert shot. I took some for a band and it was hard to get them right. I think I only had one that turned out half way decent. I like the motion blur on his hand. Some might not but I think that it shows part of the show. Congradulations on this hard kind of shot to get. You've done it great. |

| Great composition. I know this kind of shots are hard to take but this is really good. The lighting is good and the focus is OK for this kind of photo. High score from me. /carsten |

| This is real but the shadow form the Mic is not that great. YOu got very close. Impressive for a concert. |

I really like this shot and think it is very well done. The hand movement shows action but the face is in sharp focus. The only thing I would change about this one and it is probably not possible is that shadow from the microphone. This is one of my favorite shots from this week.

IMO the relationship between the title and picture are key elements in this challenge. The harsh lights of the stage command sharp focus of the subjects' face. You may have needed to go to manual with such a crazy design on his shirt. These things seem to confuse our auto focus cameras.

| Very good photojournalistic picture. Wish his hand was in focus, but it's a great photo. Not sure whether I agree with the title, but I'm giving this an 8 anyway. Nice job! |
