 When I saw this challenge I immediately thought to do my take on 'Afghan Girl'. I realized there would most likely be others who would choose to do the same shot but I would have never imagined it would have been such a large group from the entries. Regardless I still wanted to make the image my own which is why I decided to forgo the original red & green and purely focus on the green of the scarf & her eyes. I utilized a large window for light and kept the editing pretty simple. I cleaned up her face of blemishes and lightened her under-eye area, then I utilized overlay to slightly enhanced the green in her scarf & eyes, followed by slightly screening her skin & lips so that there would be a nice contrast for the green. Finally, I sharpened & saved for web. I hope people enjoy my take on this classic & I hope she can stand out through the crowd of AG.
