 Ladybugs are great insects to work with for macro shots, especially if you are a beginner. On a cool day they don't need cooling down and they don't like to fly away. They are predictable on where they are going to crawl as well. I found four in my lawn and just worked with them on a pea stem. In fact, two are still there two hours later.
