 A 2-man scull rows down the Trinity River on a Saturday morning. The bridge overhead makes for a great spot to shoot from.

The wind caused me some issues with this shoot, creating a lot a tiny wavelets on the water. If the water had been smooth, the patterns made by the oars in the water would have stood out much better. This shot was in the shadow of the bridge, and combined with the angle, the choppy texture did not show as badly.

Anticipated critiques:
-Choppy texture on water is distracting
-Too centered

Post-challenge notes:
I'd had hopes for something higher for this entry, but really, it did about right. I was not quite able to get the "wow" out of this image that I wanted from it. Still a pretty cool perspective that I am pleased with.

Very nice capture. The position of the paddles adds interest. They're also surprising to me, since I thought that rowers typically kept their paddles parallel.
