Images by themselves should be able to express the photographer’s intentions. However, I think I failed in conveying the idea behind this entry so it warrants an explanation. This picture was inspired by the album Poses by Rufus Wainwright. Everything in this image is posed. The strategical positioning of the ipod, headphones and the bokeh lights is contrived as opposed to being natural/organic. This is a metaphor to the necessity of having to conform. Right now, I feel like I have to keep doing the right “poses” in order to fit in. That’s it in a nutshell.
Another explanation could be that I love music. ;P
