 Should have been "The first Flower" I guess.
It's really incredible how fast the vegetation is coming through thick layers of sand and volcanic ash after the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull.

Editing was very straightforward.
Slight crop, darkening of sand in "levels", darkening of flower in "curves", add border, resize, sharpen.

Nice use of selective desaturation here to bring out the flower. I find myself wanting more balance to the photo. The rock face in the bottom half has nothing in the top half to really offset it.
