Thank you for the votes and the bunch of nice comments. For those that asked about the method, Oliver (h2) got it almost right, the stars are indeed holes same as they were in this picture, however, the foreground is not a miniature but actually my backyard. The glass is also real, and the break in the stem is due to my messing up the masking while changing the color of the table cloth. The foreground looks funky because I messed up the exposure (really bad) and had to fix it the best I could in PP.

Curious.. I'd rather not vote, because I can't quite see how this was created. Look forward be being enlightened on its creation. Good idea though.

looking forward to see how you managed that. my best guess would be miniature landscape and holes in the backdrop. Wonder why there is an intersection in the stem of the glass.

Very impressive to put this together within the rules, although I'm not sure about the PP on the foreground.

great idea...i feel like the martini glass should be doing something more interesting...something that makes me feel like it was looking longingly to its home galaxy. maybe if it was just tilted somehow toward it...maybe 2 martini glasses to represent a couple star gazing would have done it for me... sorry to be annoying.-9

Clever!! I'd like to know how you did this within the rules.

Well, now that it has been validated, my only guess is that the star outline of the bottle is on glass that is in front of the sky. I can see some blurriness around the bottle so perhaps that from shooting behind glass. Or maybe you made the stars with a flashlight and the blurriness is the movement from the person in front of the camera. Either way, it's still cool.
