Not sure if it was possible to shoot this in the evening or early morning, it would have made all the difference. The comp is ok on this. |

Even if voting weren't anonymous, if everyone who gave me a 4 or below gave me feedback like that I would NEVER complain about a LOW score! That is the kind of feedback one can grow from, learn from, and expand from! Its very much appreciated! |

The fountain, certainly, is very well captured. The rest is as others have pointed out, although the omitted implication there is that you made some sort of mistake photographing the real world how it is. You didn't. It's good. I intend to browse all future results from the bottom up to find the quality. |

This is a good area to photograph, but this photo doesn't really draw me in. Maybe if my eyes were drawn along a river line, or the fountain was offset from center it would add a bit of interest for me. |

Not totally sure what it is with this entry, maybe a combination of factors, but I think this is the kind of shot that encourages many to just hit the 4 or 5 key and press on. I'll try and identify some of what may not be working and hope it's helpful for you.
-Looks like a strong overhead sun. Midday sun is usually the least flattering light.
-There may be some oversharpening going on, the detail in the foliage seems pixelated to me.
-Using less compression may have also helped. The 163k file size is just over half the allowed file size and this is a very detailed scene. You may have lost some clarity due to compression and I can see some blocky compression artifacts in the water spray in the center.
-The water from the fountain seems grayish in color and not terribly dramatic looking or interesting. I wonder if you may have been trying to pull in some detail using highlight recovery. |

what a great place for a walk - i just wonder if less harsh light (later in the day or earlier in the AM) would have allowed the scene to show more magic |
