This is a nice photo, but I have some suggestions for improvement. There is a lot of noise (high iso?) which detracts from the image quite a bit. Also, in this case, I don't think the fading border is adding anything to the photo, so I would have omitted it (but that's completely personal taste).

I know animals never pose like we would like but to me this image suffers because backside is so prominent. I belong to a wildlife photo club and one thing they have taught me is that people hate to see the rear of any animal and even though the head is turned towards the camera the rear becomes to much of the focal point. It would also IMO be more appealing if the crop was not as centered and the weed was not cluttering up the side of the animal but again they never cooperate so some times you get what you can. I do like the way you captured the animal in a clearing and the corn stalks make a decent backdrop to the shot. Hope the info helps, good luck in the challenge.

The deer looks a bit odd to me. There seems to be a pixalated pattern on it's fur, but not the corn. Maybe a little too heavy on the selective editing for my preferences, I'm afraid.

i love how the deer is turned completely around - i just wish it were a bit sharper in focus
