 In response to JustCaree, it was shot in full daylight, outside.

I don't recommend that approach, as it usually leads to really bad results with crystals..

Instead, try a softbox with lots of light.

nice!!!!!!!! what kind of lighting are you using with these? I find when I try to shoot stones etc they always come across either blown out or underlit.
