It's a fine portait. Hope he likes it. Great job putting that lens to work like this. The isolation works so well and the point of focus, spot on! A really nicely composed shot and character study. |

I love the DOF making his face almost 'float' in the sea of 'outside himself'. |

Well done on the top 20. Have to say, I was expecting this to do better! One of my top choices. Well done indeed though. |

Penny, this is an awesome photograph. Haunting in a way. I like the way Lev explained in our team thread, about being nervous about having his soul stolen by the camera. And ANOTHER new entry to your top row! You have SERIOUSLY kicked butt during DPL! |

This is striking. His eyes speak volumes.
Back for a second look. I'm calling this my pick of the challenge. That piercing gaze, all those textures. This is amazingly good. A ten for you. |

Nice photo, i like the thin DOF, and i think you made the right choice to go B&W. The only thing i can say is that his expression almost looks like you took him by surprise. Maybe i'm wrong you may have spent a good 15 minutes chatting him up, but his expression fails to connect emotionally. Technically you did great. |
