 On a recent trip to Washington, DC with visiting relatives, I was after macro shots of detail elements on statues, monuments, and fences. I really like the way this turned out and I hope it is a good fit for this challenge.

I like the idea of getting some copper oxidization here. The light area in the background is a bit distracting. Maybe a different angle could have been used to eliminate that.
