So daddy here. Lost his chicks into a fire pit that is to the left of the shot. Daddy wasn't happy I was this close, but as his babies were in the pit he wasn't going anyway.

After about 15 minutes I finally got all of the chicks out of the fire pit and they all ran into the wood pile to hide. Managed to remember to take a photo.

Hope the weathered wood is good enough for this challenge. wink.

I think I would have gone for a shot without the bird. It steals attention away from the textures of the wood, which could be really cool.
