Yes, I meant "peel," but this way no one will think it's mine! Very last minute submission, and I tried to change the title but couldn't. I guess I would have had to resubmit?

This is a reprise of my Abstract Emotion entry nearly 2 years ago. The colours are the astounding result of an also last minute pounce on the auto colour correction option. Amazing that the same shape of the peel persists. Maybe I could argue that the red is resounding, even clangorous, like the peal of a bell? Anyway it was the autocolour turning the cocoa brown outer paint layer to yellow and green that decided me to enter it. Apparently not a winner, but I really don't mind seeing it when I log on.

An ecstacy for your peal?

Love it. Full of subtle beauty that's lost on the masses. A kindred spirit: I could spend hours photographing pealing paint.

clangorous red, yes indeed! really like it with the grellow-yeen. that face just jumps out at me, dick van dyke perhaps...

While I like you eye for spotting this subject, I also want to mention that the red is looking a little oversaturated. And also, I would have cropped a little bit more towards the bottom.
