Note : I do not know the names of the parts of all flowers so I might call something a petal when it's some latin thing I can't pronounce... Please bear with me... :)

Composition : Nice macro. I have to agree with the comments that suggested it would have been helped by including the entire petal. Without them, my eye is dragged off the edge of the picture too often.

Exposure/Lighting : Beautifully lit and well exposed. The colors are rich and vibrant.

Focus : The three petals in the upper-right seems a little soft, but not to the point of distraction. DoF was handled well here in my opinion.

Emotion/Challenge : As noted in some of your comments, purple was the first color I thought of here. I certainly feel that there is enough blue to meet the challenge, but here it's risky to stray from the letter of the challenge. You didn't lose any points from me for it, but I'd bet you lost some from some folks.

Opinion : Very nice macro and inspirational (I plan to try a few flower macros myself now)... I think if you had included the whole of the flower and possibly played with Hue a bit to bring out more blue, this would have place quite nicely :)

an attractive macro - with the lines and direction in this, it might be worth looking at 'upside down' ? It feels like it should be pointing in the other direction to my eye. The 'other' flower that is really tightly cropped in the upper right would be worth cloning out to enhance the focus on the subject

Very nice flower. Too bad it looks sickely or is that part of the Blue theme.

This is a beautiful flower, but is appears to be almost violet or lavendar. The unopened one on the right definitely is. Yes, I can see the blue. When I clicked on the thumbnail it definitely was lavendar. Cropped a little to tightly. Good dof on this. Nice job. PTL 7

A lot of the color looks purple. You should have used "Hue" to make it more blue looking.

If you could have taken the zoom out just a bit to ensure the whole flower was included here it would have helped. Having some of the tips of the petals cut off loses a bit for me.

My first glimpse at this photo makes me think purple more then blue. I wish you would have tried to get all of the stamens in, because just the slightest ammount cut off doesn't help te photo. Great focus, but try not to center it so much. Good luck!
