 I pondered not entering but you know I feel compelled to. My first entry was a fireworks shot and there were none around except possibly at a Phillies or River Sharks game that I was just not going to get to. I have flowers sitting about and lots of dried ones so this sort of fit the bill for a first challenge entry by alliebeal in the flowers one challenge or rather my take on it. It did not do so well and I suspect that my rendition will not either. But it's done and in. Now I can haz cheezburger, plz. LOLZ.

Love the "way too much going on" in this! Wonderful things happening back and forth with your amazingly lush dried flowers and the sumptuous richness of the background, and the light and textures and on and on. (My opinion: people don't know how to enjoy what's put in front of them).

Much better than the original - I'd perhaps have liked to see some more compositional linkage with the original but a fine image nonetheless.

The dead flower are interesting but the background seems to overpower them

much prettier interpretation of the original. cool looking background but it kind of overwhelms the vase and flowers. it steals the show from your subject.

I like this version much better. Great work. The background is a little busy and the flowers could use some more light but over all a great shot.

Waaaay too much going on in this image. Love the gold and orange backdrop. Gorgeous flowers, but they are fighting each other. And the lighting seems to make this shot more about the background than the flowers.

I really like the composition of this...but your lighting to me seems a bit to dark...but that is JMO...I like it overall
