GAS BURNER COLLECTION
12/09/2002 03:53:06 AM
CC

this is really cool, what a great idea! it really does look like a crazily lit flower at first glance! the composition of this shot is almost perfect--i may have pulled out just a teeny bit more on the right. still, i love it. i love the contrasting blue and black colors. technically, very good considering the low light source. i wonder if opening the aperature would have helped any? dunno, but at any rate, the grain doesnt bother me at all, i think it works well here. all in all, this is a wonderful idea, very well executed! nice work!

Of all the burner pics this week, this is my favorite! I really like that you only included half of the ring, and the way the flames curve is really appealing.

Perfect composition, great capture of colour and nice clean background.
Either resolution is a little low (I don't know your camera limitation) or the image is just noisy. If it's the latter I'd recommend investing in neatimage which works wonders for some of my stuff.

Probably the best of the gas shots. I like the composition/placement and the high flames. Nice work.

Excellent title and framing of the subject. This truly is a keeper. I could see this printed and displayed with great pride.

good idea with clever title... not the best pic this week (in my opinion) but a good effort nonetheless..
