Had originally submitted , which I really like. But decided it was another "noir", abstract image which doesn't seem to do too well here. I decided to go for a walk in the neighborhood and keep an eye out for things that might look good and minimal in b/w. All the walking made me thirsty, which led to fresh fruit cravings, and the idea was born. I even had a nectarine waiting for me at home. Unfortunately, it wasn't a freestone fruit, and I made a total mess trying to cut it in half. So I had to go to the store and picked up a white peach, a yellow peach, and an apricot, just in case. This was the white peach, which split perfectly.
It's not a particularly original shot, but I had fun processing it to get this look. It's pretty close to what I had in mind.

I could see this image hanging on the wall in a kitchen. |

My first reaction to this was "too bright." After examining it more closely, I do like the idea of high key for this. I would like to see textures in the fruit, but at the same time, not having them makes me see the lines more. |
