candid picture i took on the day my very best friends brought their new baby boy, colton patrick LaHaie, home from the hospital... big sister alyssa was holding him for the very first time, and little sister cheyenne leaned in for a kiss, and dad Joel was looking over, you can't imagine how thrilled he was to finally have his first son ... IMO i couldn't have planned this picture this good if i tried...i think it's incredibly sweet. we spent the whole day outside with the family just enjoying their newest little member, and i snapped about 150 candid pics... everytime i look at them i can just feel the love popping out the the frames. the picture was originally taken in sephia...the family was sitting out under a tree and the shadows looked aweful in color, but softened greatly in sephia. i cropped and resized, sharpened, added an orton-ish affect,and added a border.. also was able to clone the shadow off of the girls nose..but was unable to fix the shadow on her chest and forehead...hopefully since the pic is outside, the shadows won't get criticized too harshly. the title is from the song "a father's love" by George Strait- who just happens to be Joel's(the father in the pic) favorite artist. it just seemed so fitting. don't know how this pic will do in voting, but i just love this shot! |
