this doesn't fit my idea of Minimalism, but it is an exquisite portrait and it at least acknowledges the topic, so 8 from me.

Superb lighting and angle.. Some may not like the speckelation (or what ever it is called) but it don't bother me much at all. I love the expresson of the dog. One of my few 10's.
