 Taken at Shanghai Airport on July 28th just before getting on a 10 hr flight back to Finland.

The lighting and silhouettes had drawn my eye when I arrived the week before and I was determined not to leave without trying to get a quick snap. This turned out much better than I expected.

I'm sure somebody will think the floor looks noisy but it's actually the pattern of the tiles, but I expect to get dinged for that.

Had a version without the random passenger in the foreground, but I liked the reflection and thought it made the image more interesting. Let's see how this does.

How didn't this do better! I actually really like it an am fav'ing it! the blue and the silouhette is awesome

I'm surprised this didn't score higher, as well. The silhouette action is pretty cool, and the blue, both the reflected and the direct light, combines nicely with this. The sense of scale is weird too, with how tiny that person in the background is, but they certainly don't look THAT far away. Good shot.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: This is a very nice image - I really like the coloration and the composition is bang on, I like how you have maintained the prominence both the architecture and the figure. The latticing of the glass contributes an immense amount to the image.

Critical stuff: Nothing really.

Overall: A very nice, high impact image.
