Here's a situation where the photo uses the title as a crutch. Haunted by what memories? Is he at a memorial? Visiting a country where he did battle? There's no context in the photo to tell the story. And from the look on his face, I can't tell if he's haunted by memories or trying to remember what he had for breakfast.

I like how you can just make out the uniform in the back ground, but it could be missed by the casual viewer. It would have been nice if you could have got him to take of the backpack and get him a little bit sharper. Of course if this was just a candid then you cannot do that.
