Coyote was walking down side of mountain road, looking around, then paused to glance back at the light. Stopped car in middle of road to get the shot. First time I've ever been this close to one, even in zoos.

-----------------
Regarding the tilt: the road was not flat. The horizon was actually behind the mountain far out of sight. Actually tried a rotation to make the critter appear to be standing flat, but it seemed much less dynamic.

I love the tension here. Has a strong feeling of fight or flight.

Very nice tones here, and an interesting pose. Horizon looks tilted to me, but not very purposefully.

Cool catch. Having him in the right of the scene while looking right adds interest to the viewer (We wonder what is just out of frame).

I like the b&w here and how he's looking to the rear.
