 I have a bamboo plant that has grown nearly as tall as me, and the tallest leaves reach up to the window. When I'm lying in bed I find myself just staring at the lines of the leaves standing stark against the sky. I find it very beautiful and soothing.

This is just the very tip of a bamboo leaf set against the sky. I thought it gave the impression of a brushstroke in a traditional Chinese painting. Like a long stroke with a calligraphy brush.

Incredible. The composition is what really strikes me. The "stroke" seems to end just outside the right side of the frame. Or does it?

I like that the image is soft and the contrast subdued. Adds to the mystery.
