Memories of a Ballerina
The inspiration for this photo came just before this challenge was announced. I am a single father of a very wonderful almost 6 year old daughter, and this summer while on vacation, visiting my parents, I found these ballet shoes. They belong to a sister who was taken from us over 20 years ago.
As my daughter asked me questions, so many memories and emotions came back.
The shoes both hers, but the ones that are standing up once belonged to Karen Kain. The Daisies, well they where my sisters favorite flower, and these ones are wild that my daughter picked for this picture.
As my daughter watched me set everything up, with the usual endless questions, there was a silence....then she looked at me and said "daddy I want to learn how to dance like your sister Suzi........but I still want to be a fireman like you"
Maybe by reading this some people will see a bit of the inspiration and emotion that I see when I look at it. |

| you started with a very good idea...the shoes...IMO a tutu could have been a good choice...the flowers just don't add anything...for me...sorry |
