| Ow. Well, I'll admit to being part of the beating you got. I gave it a 4, which is my vote for a good effort that shows some knowledge and effort but still falls short in a major way. The lighting was the biggest problem for this, I think. I also think the shallow DOF was too shallow, and the angle didn't quite suite the composition. Hope that helps. |

4.5 makes the soft foreground. The focus is perfectly on the bowl leaving the white eggs? bread and salt too soft.

| the out of focus pepper is the first thing i saw. not crazy about the shadows on the backdrop...the whole front feels blurry. 5 |

| I think a deeper DOF would have made the vegetables and eggs more in focus, a different perspective would also make the photo pop just a little bit more |

| everything is very flat and doesn't show dimension at all, if you had built up various parts of the picture (staging them more like a display) then I think this would be more appealing...and your focus is very, very soft |

| Nice arrangement, but needs greater depth of field. The foreground is out of focus. |

| ouch, harsh lighting and alot of out of focus areas, which can be good but not in this case. keep working at it! |
